CDK Global, Seattle, Washington offices in International District
I've had the good fortune of working at single technology company for over a dozen years, in different departments and working under various styles of leadership, but all focusing on one thing: creating a better product for everyday use.
As I step away from CDK Global as a Senior UX Designer in Design Operations, I commemorate this blog post to the leadership I've worked with and what it was I took away from my time with them.
Alden Hopkins (LinkedIn), Art Director. It takes teamwork to make the dream work. The team is family, and good UX Design happens when the team is synced.
Chris Bernard (LinkedIn), Vice President of UX. Use your craft to revel in ambiguity. You're all professionals and represent the best of what UX can accomplish. So always be accomplishing.
Rachael Austen (LinkedIn), UX Director. Assertiveness, assertiveness, assertiveness. Drive hard to the root and rely on the expertise of others to get eyes on a problem.
Steven Meyers (LinkedIn), UX Manager. Always be pushing forward, and if you encounter a blocker, move around it. Identify the makers and the doers on the team and empower them.
Tony Corneto (LinkedIn), UX Manager. Never leave your wing man. Be clear, concise, transparent and always have a backup.
Georgette Sullivan (LinkedIn), UX Manager. Dot your i's, cross your t's and mind your p's and q's. Understand the process inside and out and always be on time.
Matthew Von Trapp (LinkedIn), PMO Business Consultant. Define the process, maintain the ceremonies and monitor deliverables to communicate confidence to all stakeholders.
Pete Karolczak (LinkedIn), Business Consultant. Use what you have and stay in budget. Be responsible, communicate deliverables and if you're struggling, don't keep it to yourself.
Mark Edgerton (LinkedIn), Product Consultant. Define the process, outline the requirements and keep it uniform for all stakeholders to stay inline and report on time.
Hadyn Paternite (LinkedIn), Director of UX Research. Always question everything. Never stop asking "why" and gut it to the root to determine if something truly is the best option.
Raven Moore (LinkedIn), UX Manager. Use the right tools for the job and provide resources for people to teach themselves in a scalable framework. Teach people to fish.
